It's truly unfortunate but the turn around for appointment confirmations is horrible, waiting over a month to get a scheduled appointment and then receiving a phone call the day before the scheduled appointment that it has to be canceled is a problem in patient care. Healthcare facilities overall need to do better with scheduling and communication. I am extremely disappointed this is the second time this happens to me.
I used to really enjoy receiving care from the Columbia Nurse Practitioners Group, but now this clinic seems to have a high turnover of Nurse Practitioners and a disregard for patients having a sense of continuity of care. I was a patient of Yudelka Garcia for several years and had a great experience. Since she and other NPs have left, I've been transferred to 4+ different NPs with varying levels of experience in a span of 3 years. I really want to like this facility, but there's seems to be a very big issue with communication, and follow-up care. They will refer you to other doctor's within the network because it's easier for them to share information/results, etc. Then you're on hold for hours, trying to get an appointment for weeks, sometimes months to see an OBGYN, therapist, or even dermatologist. This is needs to be fixed ASAP and it really effects the relationship people have with their doctors and their personal health.
Staff has an attitude and a superiority complex. They don't have any empathy and are unable to provide effective services. Don't work in a community you do not understand.
