RecommendedSo glad I joined Columbia Yacht Club. My kind of people! (Ok, not sure if "My kind of people qualifies as a recommendation - you will have to come over, and decide for yourself - Skipjacks is a great way to do that!!!)
Change the horizontal planks on the face dock to vertical, a friend lost their entire portside rail when it got caught between the planks. I also found the there was not enough protection while in a slip, I now know what it feels like to be in a washing machine.
Beautiful views, great food and drinks, but the best part is the amazing service. A really hidden gem!

Exceptional Club - the members - the staff - the activities- our clubs involvement in Red Sky Night and LCR and Dock Dash supporting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society - the racing including Beer Can - our top notch Sailing School - the cruising - the food - the best view of Chicago from the lake. I’m sure I missed several other things. Join us ⛵️⛵️🚤⛵️⛵️
Visited here because they are reciprocal with my home club. I have to say it was some of the best food I had while in the city. The chef had some great specials and the menu has an interesting Latin twist. The bar manager Jeremy also makes tasty seasonal drinks including a holiday bourbon cocktail called a Cousin Eddy. If I ever move to Chicago, I will be joining immediately.
