l was severely disappointed to find out that after 20 plus years with the Columbia River Eye Center with my favorite ophthalmologist Dr. Smith (who has since retired), that the Dr. Harrison has made the policy that the eye center would no longer see me for any reason, because I chose to have my cataract surgery at another facility due to access to surgery during this COVID-19 pandemic. Having never felt the need to write a review, the entire experience with Columbia River Eye Center cannot go without comment. Now living out-of-state, my brief visit to the Mid-Columbia region left little flexibility in my schedule, but the need for cataract surgery was crucial. I brought my son to his 3:00 appointment today. We arrived at 2:50 and signed in. After waiting for ten minutes we were told we were not on the schedule for today. We were told we could wait a long time, as I did not have the appointment card with me and they would try to work us in but the schedule was full for today. I was also told that in the future if I did not receive a call the day before an appointment to call because that meant we were not on the schedule.

Does this provider remember you and your circumstances at every appointment? No. I have to re-explain my circumstances every time Were the waiting room chairs comfortable at this provider's office? Not really Does this provider have helpful information available online? Yes, but its hard to find Did you have to wait long after you arrived for your appointment? No, I didn't have to wait very long Was this provider sympathetic to your situation? Yes, they were sympathetic and caring

Was this provider friendly? Polite Enough Does this provider have helpful information available online? No, just a basic listings page Did you experience unnecessary pain during your visit? No Do you feel that you could have received better service somewhere else? Probably, I wasn't impressed Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you? No, they've never taken personal calls with me
