I called to inquire about possibly getting free or reduced counseling services and also asked if they manage medications. The woman on the phone said that I would need to pay \$35 to be seen. Being that I am out of work I mentioned that \$35 was a little bit much for me (I was merely thinking out loud, trying to see if it would fit my budget); however, I did not say that I would be unwilling to be seen at their facility. Not everyone is the same, so not every one likes the same kind of people. I personally have gone to Columbia Pastoral Counseling Center on and off for the last few years, and I benefit from it. It works for me. The counselor listens and doesnt always agree with me, he is a good sounding board. I never had the experience that the first poster had.I have always been treated with respect at Columbia Pastoral Counseling Center.
