My wife and I have had a terrible experience with Columbia Homes, Inc. Repeatedly, Columbia Homes, Inc. would take construction draws and not use the funds for our property. Each instance was a breach of contract. It took 3 years and 1 week to complete our project. We tried to work with them and in the end we had to pay out of pocket to complete our home. We worked with Vijay from Columbia Homes for our custom house. The house has come out beautiful and we are very happy with Vijay. He worked with us on every step and always tried to accommodate all our requests. He always listened to all our requests and guided us in the right direction. Malpractice! Stay away from Columbia homes and VJ. The guy is manipulative, misleading, and maybe close to bankruptcy. If you are a homeowner, it is a very good chance that your money will be used to pay his debts from the previous or parallel projects. If you are a contractor, you will not be paid by months if ever. I met the owner of Columbia Homes through referrals who had great experiences building homes with Columbia and spoke highly of the owners honesty, integrity and most importantly customer service and quality of construction. Some customers told me that years after the build was complete they were always happy to come and fix any minor issues, which is unheard of in this industry The best thing about them is the follow up.
