Saw him for anasicoria (my left pupil had blown up). I was told to return in one month. When I did they did all the standard diabetes related testing I'd already had ignoring my mentioning why I was there. When Dr. Hamilton came in the room he said "I can't do anything for you if you don't control your sugar." Again I said that I was there for anasocoria of the left eye. His response..."For what?" That was enough. I left.
Took my elderly mother in for an evaluation for cataract surgery. Waited 2 hrs for him to spend 5 minutes evaluating her. He talked so fast that didn’t get much from the visit other than, “she’s elderly and come back in a year and we will see if she needs surgery. She can see ok for now”. Even the nurse asked if we wanted to see someone else the next visit… No, we will find someone new who has a better manner and takes time with his patients.
Went to him with pain in my eye from a growth on the side of the eyeball. He gave me a vision test I did not ask for, then announced “Well, it doesn’t affect your vision, you don’t need cataract surgery!” Showed very little interest in resolving the problem. Gave me a tiny bottle of eyedrops I can get over the counter, which do nothing for the pain. My impression — if you don’t need cataract surgery then he’s not going to spend time with you. Sad experience.
Never ever would I go see this POS again, he damaged my eye during cataract surgery, and I had to go to Vanderbilt for emergency surgery to save my retina etc…. I will never completely see out of my eye😡😡. Take my word for it Do Not Go To Him!!
