I had my first appointment with Dr Shier today and, long story short, I was very happy with the care I received. Yes the wait time is long, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it's to be expected since Sunnybrook is a major hospital and there were many patients waiting to see the doctor. My GP suggested I forward my complaints to the specialist, so why not make it public? This colposcopy clinic will preform biopsies without so much as topical anesthetic, claiming it doesn't hurt. They will tell you the "cramping" will subside soon after the procedure, and not turn into severe pain lasting multiple days. These statements were proven to be a lie. I've never felt so gaslight by a medical professional claiming to be a "specialist".
