Cornelis Schipper brought the company to the United States after World War II and took Dutch bulbs from customer to customer in his business coupe. I am impressed by the excellent quality and service. I expected the usual amaryllis but the bulbs from colorblends have blossomed multiple times with incredible vibrancy. The daffodils have also spread unusually fast. I planted over a 300 in the past in one area of my yard not from colorblends. The new 30 bulbs I planted 2 years ago from colorblends bulbs truly stand out. Thank you Colorblends for helping make my gardening so rewarding.
We ordered 15,000 bulbs for a Rotary Club of Reno community project. Colorblends worked with us to make sure the order showed up in time for planting and everything came on a nice pallet. It was easy to pick what we wanted from their catalog and figure out our budget. Now we wait for spring! :-)
I ordered Amaryllis bulbs for a Church fund raiser (and sold them already potted,) it was a huge success.They flowered for Christmas, and everyone was happy!!�
I ordered over 900 bulbs. Refrigerated, waited and planted exactly as recommended. I did a lot of reading about tulips and daffodils for my area. I hired help to dig holes. I bought enriched soil. In the end I maybe got at the very most 200 to grow and only half actually flowered. I dug a few bulbs up that did not grow much later and they were not over dry or wet. Maybe the second year will be better? The ones that did flower were splendid. But it's a lot of money to only see so few of the bulbs flower. Disappointed over all... read more
Absolutely HUGE daffodil bulbs. Tulips were also excellent. If you're going to buy in quantity, this is the best bang for the buck. If you don't need to buy in quantity, go in with a friend!
