I am not one to write a review, but I saw Dr. McDonald and it was truly the worst doctors experience I have ever had. My experience with the practice as a whole was just shocking. To start, the receptionist was telling me how much she wanted to go home and cussing as she was trying to figure out my insurance. Then, a good while later, the nurse came out and asked the receptionist, “Is she ready yet? Because he [the doctor] is ready to get out of here.” My appointment was 100% reflective of that. I go to the one at penrose on North Nevada. The nurses and front desk ladies are awesome. Bringing concerns to the doctor, no let me correct that the doctors pa I went unheard. I had a migraine for three days wasn't asked symptoms. She blames the seizures that are on going on my medication that I have been taking for two years and never one problem with them. My medical decision maker went unheard on things. Twice now. I never had seizures until this year. All I had done was a EEG and then a 72 hr EEG done. I've had migraine... read more

The staff and medical professionals here are nice, which is why I gave it more than one star. As far as treatment, I saw Dr. McDonald for chronic dead arm at night. The second he latched onto the opinion that it was due to carpel tunnel, he considered no other options. He put me through a second nerve test to test his theory. Even though the test results did not support his theory, he still basically said "Oh well, I think that's what it is anyway" making me feel like it was an insurance grab.
