We collaborated with Dave to bring more life into our 1885 foyer stairwell. Dave brought great ideas and deep experience. He highlighted existing original elements, mixed with faux antiquing, and created a coherent vision for the foyer stairs, rails, and exposed brick wall. The result : a permanent art installation! We are very pleased!

Our existing faux beams were too dark, like a dark shade of chocolate. So we hired Dave to use faux painting to lighten the beam color to that of river wood, light walnut, or oak. Dave met with our designers and us several times to discuss the objectives. Then he painted beam samples to ensure we were all in agreement on the final color.
