Had a 500 sq ft addition (mother-in-law suite) built in 2019. Several small little problems have popped up over a couple years (LVP flooring gaps in both rooms, roof vent put on backwards so rain leaked into attic/ceiling, master shower controls always loose, vinyl siding has fallen off in 3 separate areas). Had roof put on in 2011. Paid for all the extra bells and whistles in order to qualify for the “50” year roof warranty . Have had a minimum of six different leaks since the roof was Installed. Leaked in both bathrooms, our garage in 3 different areas and now it’s leaking in our living room. Our newest leak started about a week or so ago. Had another roofing company come out which inspected our roof and found that our shingles, were improperly nailed by the installers that Colony sent out. Superb quality and workmanship at a fair price. I got five bids for my roof replacement. Herb came out and was great to talk to. I'm no roofer, but I have done a ton of research in the last year or so leading up to this project. Herb was the only one of five to point out the necessity of drip edge and proper ventilation. To me, this says a lot about the roofing industry. Many many contractors will happily take your $10k+ and install a roof that will last 1/3 as long as it could if installed properly. Churchill looks pretty on the outside so I'd buy it if I were a stranger with no fond family memories from before the transformation you guys did to it... But I can't help but wish it were still the old Churchill house that we've always known & I could go inside to see my parent's watching Fox news in the old living room & especially in the BIG den it had. I wish you'd kept the den the same size tho but I guess whenever I get financially stable enough to buy it back one day, I'll just have you changed the den back to the way... read more
