Google won’t allow me to post with zero stars or that’s what I’d rate the worst management company in Champaign-Urbana. I do not rent from them directly, Thank God but have lived at Colony West for 7 years. Aside from rarely answering the phone, not returning emails, not responding to maintenance requests, and rarely being in the office/available during their posted hours (9am - 1pm/M-Th…a whole 16/hrs per week) and being terribly rude when available, they have no care for the well being of the people that live in this commu... read more
I lived in Colony West for 2.5 years in a unit leased from Colony Property Management. It was mostly good. The unit was a good size, a good price, pest-free, and quiet. The appliances worked fine and were in good shape. The bathroom was poorly ventilated and prone to mold, which I cleaned regularly. For small issues (broken closet door, leaky faucet etc), the maintenance was attentive and quick. This company has typical slum lord vibes with their inability to actually be open when they are supposed to be and answer any calls and a 'leasing office' that's not able to be found physically. If so many people including me pay more than a normal mortgage to live in a apartment you provide then WHY can you not afford an actual building for your HQ and actually pay people to work there when you say you are available to answer calls for your tenants.
