A retainer fee was paid after meeting. The attorney showed knowledge of the matter, so there was every expectation for good service. But, communication from the firm after that initial meeting went downhill. Also, potential clients must make sure they review the contract from this firm VERY carefully before signing. It primarily specifies the flat attorney fees, additional fees based on hourly rate, their expenses, and their right to withdraw if fees are not paid in a timely manner.
