For years, I had heard that the area of Shaw and Sixth in Freeno was as bad as living in Southeast Fresno. I was told it was gang controlled and drug riddled. So when I first found myself on a fixed income five years ago, I chose the cheapest apartment I could find in Clovis on Alamos and Peach, just off of Shaw. I quickly discovered that area of Clovis is indeed run by gangs, drug riddled and overrun with homeless squatters.
