A regular visit to the Dr ended up being a surgical procedure. The Dr office automatically sent the billing and charges info to ABS, an affiliate of CBI. I paid a large amount of the charges in person at ABS/CBI office and agreed to make monthly payments. Then in less than a month later I get a notice that my account is now in collection with CBI and then 8 days later an additional charge for interest. What happened to the monthly payment agreement? And why are they charging a 3% "convenience fee" for paying on line or using... read more

HORRIBLE CONDESENDING NO PEOPLE SKILLS. I HAVE GOOD CREDIT BUT WAS WANTING TO REMOVE A DISPUTABLE 5 YEAR OLD $500 COLLECTION ON MY CREDIT. I CALLED WANTING TO RESOLVE BUT WILL NOT BE DUE TO THE WAY I WAS SPOKEN TO. WOULD RATHER TRY TO BELITTLE PEOPLE RATHER THAN WORK WITH THEM TO COLLECT A DEBT.

Amber is an enemy of the people. She's the most condescending person I have ever talked to. It seems like since people have to pay their debt no matter what, she wants to make it as miserable as possible because she's going to collect your money anyway and there's nothing you can do about it. It's a demeaning and horrible way to treat another person. She is in no way fit to interact with the public.

I agree: rude, rude, rude. People who are in debt don't enjoy being there. People are in debt for reasons other than choice, i.e., people die, get sick and lose jobs. This company does not want to help you they want to condemn and humiliate you. Amber is a horrible, condescending snot.

AWFUL! HORRIBLE!! DISGRACEFUL COMPANY! Yes, I owe a debt. However, I don't deserve to be treated so low. Reading the string of comments above, it is obvious CBI needs to get their act together. It started with Amber, she left a voice mail on the office gossips line, not mine. Way to go Amber, now the whole office knows my problem. Next...this is where the straw broke the camels back. CBI sent out a ridiculous 3rd party person to serve my papers. He looked like a bouncer, muscular, etc. He beat the holy hell out of both my do... read more

Never Use for Business. – I would really like to rate this company with a -1 star but that is not allowed. First of all it's obvious the only 5 star rating is put here by this company. Their staff is unprofessional and rude. I had a random call from "Shane" demanding a small amount when I stated I did not think he was correct and that bill was paid in full (meanwhile looking up my online banking account- it was). UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE – I had the worst experience with this company. I called about a discrepancy that was the fault of the Collection Bureau. I spoke to BETTY who was very rude and accused me of providing bogus information, which was untrue. After further investigation on my part, I discovered that it WAS an error on their part....the Collection Bureau was charging me for an error that was theirs, not mine! Rude! No Manners! Mobsters! – First they call and its an automated system that sounds just like the kids school automated system. then some guy comes on the line threatening to sue me for a debt that's not even mine! he was totally rude and in the end he hung up on me. I sure hope someone somewhere teaches this guy a lesson in manners! They think they are professional but they act like a bunch of hired thugs!
