When you walk though the main gate of the State Fair Grounds, the Coliseum is the formidable brick structure you first encounter. It's used during the fair for the large animal shows, and it is truly an impressive sight. Built more than 100 years ago (in 1906), it 2as recently updated for handicap access and better seating. Even today, it's clearly from a grander time when agriculture was the main focus of Missouri.
