As a patient of Dr. Bernstein for 30+ years, I also consider him a friend. Most of my visits through the years have been routine exams and contact lens fittings, but several times I had a real vision emergency, for which he changed his schedule and saw me immediately. He is my ALL-TIME favorite doctor!!
Dr. Bernstein helped me achieve a perfect balance of near and far sightedness without the need for reading glasses using only a pair of contact lenses, where most others do require a set of reading glasses or eye drops for presbyopia. I can read and drive and see the dashboard and my phone without extra glasses. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
Dr. Bernstein is incredibly patient and determined when fitting patients with scleral lens. Throughout my challenging vision journey, he has provided me with the best eyesight possible for my condition. I am eternally grateful.
I have keratoconus. It is a complication that requires specialty contacts. I had several doctors order contacts for me and send me on my way....with horrific results. Not Dr. Bernstein. He takes the time to make sure the contacts fit correctly and that my vision is crystal clear. Even if it means coming back to see him 2 or 3 times...he's not happy with mediocre fitting contacts.
