We signed and lease and all of a sudden were instructed that we had to pay the realtor’s upfront commissions for 4 years! And if we didn’t, the lease would be cancelled, which amounts to extortion. Be warned that this outfit won’t be in business long. We are spreading the word across several blogs, with online articles, and through social media platforms to be aware of what Coldwell Banker is doing to innocent people.
A complete scam! Ms. Linda Semon is a realtor who engages in dishonest and fraudulent business practices. She works in cahoots with a Santa Monica landlord to scam unsuspecting tenants. We were told that we were responsible for the realtor's "upfront commissions" and charged an extra $8,424. And this is on top of a $17,500 deposit, for a total of almost $26,000!
