Coldwell Banker Realty has agreed to pay $40,000 to settle four rent discrimination complaints brought by a nonprofit watchdog group’s investigation, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office announced Friday. The Housing Rights Initiative complained that Coldwell Banker agents in the company’s Jersey City, Hoboken, and Upper Montclair offices turned away testers who disclosed that they would use Section 8 vouchers for rent payment, authorities said.
