I had a terrible experience going for blond highlights; with my base colour turning orange. I have 20 years of experience doing blond colour/highlights and i certainly have appropriate expectations. The highlights where well done, but the toner type and technique turned my naturally ash base bright orange. It looked great (ash) right after, but after a few washed the orange unfolded.
