If I could give this place negative stars I would. I asked for a trim and a blowout. The man who works here messed up my hair he suggested layers. I’ve had layers in the past many times, so I didn’t think much of it when he wanted to do it but it was a drastic change and it was done poorly and horrible. He also suggested to curl at the end and it looked worse and he cut way too much hair off. I had a great experience at this salon! I was a bit skeptical walking in—curly hair can be tricky, and not every stylist knows how to handle a proper blowout. But I was pleasantly surprised. The hairdresser took me in right away, even though I arrived early, and gave me one of the best washes and scalp massages I’ve had in a while. After living in Astoria for 3 years and trying out several local (and sometimes overpriced basic salons) I finally found this place!! I just got a root touch up, great haircut, beautiful layers and bangs, blowout and great shampoo for a reasonable price! No frills type of place just great friendly service and talented stylist-Frieda and the lovely Moroccan woman (who cared about what she was doing - I love when ppl take pride in their work). Overall recommend and will be back!
