[trigger warning: suicide] I was assigned to see Chris Thoen for a few years. I tried to tell him that Lithium was making me more suicidal after my first suicide attempt (after one day in inpatient, i was told this was pretty common). After 6 months of trying to tell him how I felt, I started tapering off the meds myself. The office took this as me being disobedient, refused to work with me, and dropped me as a client instead of reassigning me like I asked. Pretty disappointing and dehumanizing experience in my opinion.

I highly recommend CCMG if you’re needing Psychiatry services. Their office is always super responsive and genuinely helpful. Their office manager Mikayla has been a superstar from day one and constantly goes above and beyond to help. My provider Kim is also amazing - she is compassionate and thorough. I could not be happier with how much help they have already been. With how hard accessing mental health services has become in the last few years, I feel super lucky and relieved to have found CCMG.
