Looking at Sweet Beans’ website, you would think it is a charming, progressive, neighborhood establishment. In fact, the manager previously posted on this website that masks were a safety consideration, not political, and were required in its cafe. Unfortunately, when I visited last weekend, that same manager was not wearing a mask while serving both masked and unmasked customers in close quarters. When visiting Sweet Beans last weekend, I was shocked to find the manager serving customers across the counter while not wearing a mask. While I can understand a small business being wary of confronting customers not wearing masks (these customers were not wearing masks either), there is no justification for a staff member working directly with customers to not wear a mask. When I reached out to the manager privately before posting this, he gave no assurance that he would wear a mask in the future. Will not be returning. Sad... read more
This is the first place I've been to around here that has provided so many vegan coffee options (coconut, almond, and soy milk + lots of flavors!) Hot or iced. I'd love to see vegan frappes and food options in the future, but from now on this is my go-to place for coffee!
