If you do opt to go with Cody Pools, I cannot stress enough the importance to avoid Kevin Freeman as your project superintendent. His construction aesthetics, project management, and, most importantly, his costumer service care lacking to the degree that I am surprised he is still employed. I do not think that my pool building experience is a direct reflection of Cody Pools as a company, but I, within a doubt, place my discord with Kevin. Cody owns Challenger Pools in Tampa FL. Two of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in my life! I'm not even sure where to start, but I can tell you we are six months into a simple rectangular pool and its still not done or done right. Permitting took two months and their website says about 10 days. They attempted to say there were delays because of complications, but its easy to see that the city was waiting on them time and again. Every step of the way was just as painful. Those who know me knows I don't complain about much of anything. My husband and I have been what we believe very patient during this process. Yet, we signed our contract at the end of March they lined everything out in our back yard around March 19th. They began digging April 22, 2019. This was the second time we decided to use Cody Pools and we are now regretting our decision. We used the same Superintendent (Trey Pendleton) in both pool installations but we received very different results. Prior to our third to last payment (almost full payment) we were promised they would fix the divots in the pebble tech at the bottom of our pool and in the hot tub area, clean our wrought iron fence which they sprayed with sundeck material, clean up the concrete stains all over the stone around the pool edge/hot tu... read more

I had Cody Pools build my pool four years ago. I was initially happy because they were fairly efficient in building the pool but I found out recently that plumbing was not done to code (it's missing backflow prevention which is important for making sure the water doesn't get contaminated) and after four years the coping is completely falling apart and there is a crack on the concrete deck (see photos).
