Fabulous food and friendly service. We love the cochinita pibil, flautas, churrasco, and the pupusas. Everything we’ve had has been delicious and the great value for the quality of the food. We go almost every week.
Unfortunately, I can only give Cocina de Mary 2 stars. There were some things we enjoyed. My empanada was very good, and the fresh natural juices were delicious. My husband’s food was just okay. My main concern is the bill. We ordered two coffees at about $5 each, two juices at about $5 each, a kids’ meal for around $9–$10, a $20 entrée for my husband, and a $10 empanada for me. I got nothing but great compliments for this establishment. As a Guatemalan, I'm so happy my partner found this place. The food was very good, we tried the Pepián, the Hilachas and the Chuchitos. The Hilachas tasted like the ones my grandma used to cook for us. And the Chuchitos are bangers, like the ones you can find in Guatemala.
