I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. The food instantly reminded me of my mom's cooking and the flavors of my hometown in Colombia. It's the only restaurant I've found that tastes genuinely authentic. I've tried the arepas, the sweet plantains, and the rice, beans, and chicken bowls, and every dish has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Cocina Casera has amazing gluten free options, celiac safe! There are only a few items on the menu that are not naturally gluten free, and everything else is prepared on separate spaces and separate fryers so it's all safe from cross-contamination. There is even a gluten free dessert option. La comida estuvo bien, pero el mesero seguía hablándome en inglés aunque le hacía el pedido en español. O sea, no te voy a deportar, puedes hablarme en español hermano. Me dio una vibra rara.
The food was amazing! We tried a bunch of different options on the menu. We hope to come again before our trip. Also halal.
This spot rules! I appreciated that the chefs were able to make everything fresh and delicious, while also being healthy somehow! The service wasn't too bad either :) Definitely will be coming back.
