Had an emergency service call on Sunday for AC that was malfunctioning. Was told capacitor needed to be replaced. Technician charged me $734 for a part that retails for <50$. I would expect a mark up and overtime labor, but based on my research, this is a 2,400% mark up. Tech got there at 11:30 and charged my card at 12:30, so less than an hours work.
