Coastal Carolina Hospital is everything wrong about Healthcare in America. Just one of many examples of how dis-functional this company is. - I have been overcharged ($2000 = $811 to me personally) for completely inept visit. Gone on for over a year - get text messages like this all the time - "Your Coastal Carolina HSP medical bill is due today. View bill at https://c.smpp.me/AS827. Opt-Out? Reply STOP. Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville is an over priced, incompetent urgent care. They are thieves posing as Healthcare. the receptionist was incredibly rude, the medical staff misdiagnosed me with pink eye and gave me a wrong prescription and charged me $2000 for a 15 minute visit. I was never told the cost of the visit until I got the bill. RecommendedCare, facility, speed of check-in, emergency care and admission. Every single care-giver was top notch, helpful and kind. The facility was clean, has multiple precautions in place for COVID and my husband could visit. No one wants to be at any hospital but if there’s a need - go to Coastal Carolina.

My husband had OUTPATIENT surgery. We were there 8 hours...4 in pre-op where he had ONE nurse who took his vitals, started an IV and one bag of fluids. 2 hours in OR. 3 hours in post-op where he had 2 doses of BP meds put in IV. In at 9, out by 5. The surgeon, radiologist and anesthesiologist billed separately. The hospital billed our insurance company $221,000!!!!!!!!!!! Almost a quarter of a million dollars for an 8 hour stay!!!!! of course my insurance company is looking into this!
NO WAY! I WAS GIVEN 4 COVID TESTS. THE 1ST WAS LOST, THE 2ND WAS MISLABELED AND THE OTHER TWO WERE NEGATIVE AS WELL. YET, THEY STILL ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR COVID. TO THIS DAY I HAVE NEVER HAD COVID! I WAS TOLD I WAS BEING TREATED FOR PULMONARY EDEMA, CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE AND COVID. NONE OF WHICH I HAD.
