When I first got diagnosed and I’m not mistaken 2005 with no insurance, Dr. Berio took me in without second-guessing whether I had insurance or not. He treated me as a patient and not what my pocketbook held and he was an amazing doctor. Of course, since I had no insurance, they put me in the county clinic and I lost track of him now that I’m On disability, I have been reunited with Dr. Berio and it is the best Happened. I've never been in their office, nor have they ever seen my ID and yet they still send me a bill for a office visit I never made or knew to go to. They are crooks and don't care about medicine. I will never go to this doctor, even if it means saving my life. It was a indirect referral through my primary that no one told me about, and yet they feel they have the rite to bill me over no appointment. I will never see this doctor and I will never pay that bill! Crooks!
Trying to reach this cardiology office is a nightmare. The automated system is overly complicated and confusing. You can’t speak to a real person, just endless voicemail. If you try to press an option to talk to someone, it tells you your time has expired and restarts the entire system. This setup is unacceptable for any medical office, especially cardiology.
