Picked up my processed catch on Friday morning. Told the staff that I had a two day drive ahead of me. Very helpful lady came up with an idea. She managed to maneuver all the pieces into a styrofoam box, taped it, put in a box, strapped it, put the box in my cooler, added gel packs and insulation and strapped it shut. She did the whole thing in about 2 minutes like she had done it 1000 times before. Saturday night the fish was still solid frozen.
They said that our order would ship out and that we would receive on Tuesday, but they shipped out out on the wrong day. People post ponned vacations, work schedules just to be there when the fish arrived. Now it won't reach us until Thursday hopefully still frozen. Very poor customer service. If you want trouble use Coal Point.
Spoke with Javin around 7 pm Pennsylvania time on a Wednesday night. She promised to have a 25 lb box of halibut out to us on Thursday morning. By early Thursday morning Fed Ex tracking was alerting us a package was en-route. By noon on Friday our package had arrived. Traveled the full 4300 miles with no problems, arrived in excellent shape, fully frozen. You guessed it, we had halibut for dinner on Friday night! Excellent service! VERY pleased with our product and the timely manner in which it was prepared! We wanted to get a few pkgs separate from the entire order (for eating while in Alaska) and were even given a small tote bag to take it in! Great job everyone!!
