I don't know about the Hackensack, NJ location but the Coach House Diner in North Bergen, New Jersey practices segregation. I went there with my friend because I like their salad bar a lot and noticed the waitress was seating the "white older people" in the front of their restaurant/diner while me and my friend as minorities were seated in the back of the diner with the other minorities, blacks, puerto ricans etc. My friend said she noticed the same thing also when we were there and that she also noticed a "minority person" ... read more
Coach House Restaurant is a basic diner Coach House is the sort of place you come with a group of people after a movie or mini-golf, with inexpensive prices, a large selection on the menu to choose from as well as a salad bar, and where you can sit and talk without worrying about the closing time. The decor is a bit dingy, and service can be slow.
Good food Diner like atmosphere with the same type of food as a diner, good service, clean place. Very good breakfast at good prices. Good service. Pretty popular place.
