Food wasn't good. Banana pudding was ok. Didn't accept credit cards. ATM needed to be refilled. Cashier was not hospitable and she had on booty shorts.
Food was delicious! Southern hospitality service was excellent too! Fried chicken, pork bar-b-que, collard greens, boiled potatoes, hush puppies, pork rinds (skins), and iced tea. Yum!
I had the Chopped BBQ with Collards, Brunswick stew, and Banana pudding... Oh my goodness!!! It was fantastic! Service was excellent. The atmosphere is so fun!
We were told by several people to be sure to have lunch at Cooper's. I am so glad we listened. The service was great. The fried chicken, coleslaw and Brunswick stew I had was delicious. The owner, Debbie, made sure we had a good time and shared the history of the restaurant. It was such a great experience. I just hope I have a reason to return to Raleigh, because Cooper's would be my first stop.
Had a great time at Clyde Cooper's BBQ this afternoon. Great food, fine people. Rack of ribs, stew and french fries were tasty and the hush puppies were the "icing on the cake" as it were. The topper was, immediately after ordering we were asked to move tables. Apparently, a film crew wanted to include us in their commercial shoot and for agreeing to move, our meal would be paid for.
