It's been almost a year since I finished working with Melissa. With that perspective, I can see how fortunate I was to have her help me get through a tough stretch. She is easy to talk with, knowledgeable, nonjudgmental and extremely patient (I was a difficult client!).

I was a client of Melissa and had a mixed experience. For the first few months, she was everything you could hope for in a therapist; she was compassionate, affirming, nonjudgmental, and helpful. Unfortunately after that our sessions became less helpful and lacked continuity with no overall plan of how to help me reach my goals. For example, one week she introduced EMDR only to never revisit it. Sadly, her other attributes which were so welcoming also faded over time.
I have known Melissa professionally for over 10 years, her passion for continuing education to support her clients is unparalleled. Her dedication to building empathy and compassion especially in the field of sex addiction and marriage counseling is shown with her various certifications and resources she has available to her clients. There are very few people in this world who have such a unique skill set. I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking support.
