The Chicago Club was not popping this weekend. $300+ a night for lackluster service. Although they did have some amentities, like milk and Cheerios cereal, the constant cigarette odor and suspect stains on the bedsheets made our stay subpar. The card keys malfunctioned after every use, hence we left the Club of Chicago with 6(!) cards. We thought that the cold drink and ice machines would be a nice refresher, but they were broken! The only positive thing about this place was the staff. They were all kind. Everything else was terrible. As other guests mentioned, mold everywhere. Lots of black mold in the shower. Breakfast was by far the worst at a hotel ive ever had. Scrambled eggs tasted like literal rubber. Coffee like water with creamer. Would not stay here again.
This place is not clean. After staying in a room on the first floor, I noticed the wall behind the mirror was seeping with a dark brown liquid after my shower. After moving the mirror slightly to take a look at the drippings, I saw an entire wall caked with mold and the wallpaper was falling off. This is absolutely disgusting and completely negligent of the owner. If you value your own health please do not stay here. We arrived at the hotel the first room we were put in was covered in mold in the ceiling. They moved our rooms and it was ok. We went for breakfast in the morning no one was out cleaning the breakfast area or adding more food as hotels usually do so there were not very many options. There were ants crawling all over the counters by the food. Overall the place was pretty gross and didn’t seem well up kept.
Yeah don't let the good reviews fool you. This place is a joke. Like I'm genuinely upset. We first got here and got our room keys, passed a room that the door was wide open, went to the room only one key worked. Once we opened the door the room smelled like shit, low and behold there was shit in the toilet and it was clogged, went to talk to the front desk for like a plunger or something.
