As places in New York City go, Wyndam Midtown 45 is good. The location only loses one star because because it is in NYC and the service loses a star because of the relentless timeshare salespeople. There is a bodega on the NE corner of 45th and 3rd and a nice Amish grocery store maybe a hundred yards away east on 45th. There's a Starbucks three blocks south on 42nd but the coffee machine at the hotel is pretty good (and you don't have to dodge the human feces on the sidewalk that's been covered by kitty litter.)
