I like Red Hook so as a location, it was pretty good. The room was the issue. It was basically a motel room with a half kitchen. Uncomfortable bed and two simple chairs at a tiny table. When sitting on the balcony, you sat next to the AC’s condenser that blew continuous hot air on you. They took the lazy way out and mounted the condenser about a foot above the floor instead of mounting it about 8’ up. The room had no view. This is a nice and scenic resort. There aren't any elevators, so please keep that in mind when planning. Also, "studio" rooms can have queen size Murphy beds and no washer /dryer. Just a heads up. The views were super picturesque. The staff were all friendly. Breakfast at the beachside café spot is wonderful. Dinner at the other on-site restaurant was very nice too!
