I had an uncomplicated quick delivery and the experience was very smooth. the labor and delivery team were perfect! Unfortunately, the post delivery experience was literally awful. The hospital is very behind the times in their infant pain management practices and recommendations. There is a callousness towards it despite research showing its importance. Great experience all around! The labor and delivery team was incredible, made us feel so welcome and were very kind and informative with every step of the way. Went above and beyond to ensure we were very comfortable and did more than I expected to help with a normal delivery, Dr. Thomas, Joanna, Karen, Soulv, Emily and Sasha were the dream team. Had my first baby here 6 weeks ago and it was an amazing experience. I set out with the goal to go unmedicated, but that changed after 24 hours with no progress. Not once did anyone pressure me to get an epidural, in fact, they were extremely encouraging of my birth plan. However, once I did decide to get it, they talked me through the process and made me feel so safe and comfortable. My labor lasted 12 more hours and my baby was OP and almost 10 pounds.
