UPDATE:: Thankfully, we used our Credit Card and we were able to get our 6k deposit back unlike some of other people, who have had to go through small claim court. BUYER BEWARE!! We are sharing this in hopes that others do not have to go through the same experience. We initially booked Mike after seeing him recommended on our neighborhood page. Buyer beware: our experience with Floor Coverings International of Wake Forest has been extremely frustrating. We contracted them in September 2025 and paid a deposit of nearly $6,000 for carpet installation. Before payment, communication was excellent. After payment, we consistently had to reach out for updates. Over several months (September through February), we were given multiple installation timeframes that never materialized. Beware of this company. You will wait months for your flooring to actually be installed with vague scheduling plans that get cancelled at the last minute. Company used to be legit but with the new ownership, Mike, it is a very different experience. I will remove this post when monies owed for jobs not completed are refunded.

Avoid at all costs. On October 15 2025 I gave a $6,000 deposit and was told our floors would be installed in a few weeks. By the end of January, I was sick of the dozens of delays, excuses, and absolute lack of communication for 3 straight months. I let Mike know I was done. He said he would return my deposit by Feb 14. No deposit returned & zero communication by Feb 14th. (The zero communication was a well established pattern by this point).
