Overall, had a very healing experience. I needed a total reset, mentally, from my life. The staff and the facility were more than adequate. To be frank, I was so desperate to get help. Clive behavioral health gave me that option, without a court order. I wish there were more places to help the mental health crisis, geared like this. They let me sit alone in a room for hours crying no one really even asked me if I was okay they would just say why are you crying. Not a place you’d want to go willingly to unless you know for sure that you’re a complete danger to yourself and or others!Clive also lost my phone during intake and I was not able to call my fiancé also wasn’t treated well being a expecting mother.

This facility traumatized me. If you're considering coming here please consider that you will be treated as less than human by most staff and ignored most of the time. Having to cry for help quite literally. Expect to be called manipulative during mental breakdowns and to have nurses write down your private phone call conversations and use them as a threat against you. There are much better facilities out there, maybe not in iowa, but if your insurance covers this one id highly suggest looking outside of this facility for cr... read more
