When we arrived, we had no table, no fire pit and the primitive sites are in the middle of a field. The people in the campground are friendly. The website claimed all sites are partially shaded, that is an enormous lie. There are 2 trees 50 yards from my site. No shade there. Friendly folks and the weather was nice. That's all this place has got, good luck if you camp here. I have been to a worse campground once. Been camping for 47 years.
Great park and most helpful staff. This is our 10th year visiting this park. It is as good as it gets.
Even if you have a yearly pass and your car is in the shop and can tell the attendant everything about the vehicle that is registered they won't let you in. I sat there and watched multiple vehicles drive by without a yearly pass sticker or even a daily permit. Yet, when I tried to do the right thing by letting them know the situation. The attendant insisted for me to pay for a permit for the one hour I was wanting to go in.
