Terrible company with nasty manager
I was in the AstraZeneca trial and normally had appointments on Saturday due to my work schedule. They informed me a month ago that they’re no longer open on Saturdays, and are not open during any hours I am off of work. I asked to withdraw from the study and to be unblinded so I could know if I should seek a vaccine elsewhere. They said that they could not unblind someone who withdraws from the study and said that there have been no studies on mixing vaccines (if I received the real thing)... My experience was something of a mixed bag. My personal interactions with staff at the office were fairly positive. However, there were several instances where I sat in the "examination room" for 20 minutes or more waiting for the next step in the process. I understand the wait for a blood-pressure check, but once my vitals are taken and the staff left me alone to complete the visit survey, it was usually a very long time before they came back. We began our clinical trial (Covid19) vaccine study on 9/5/2020. AstraZeneca, IQVIA and the FDA to begin the trial. My girlfriend and I were treated well, and the process was smooth, organized, and very friendly. We received a bag full of materials for this study, and given instructions on how to use our iPhones to record in our daily diaries that come by email/text all depends, but there is a downloadable APP, which I began to use right away.
