I have spent over 6 months dealing with back pain, and with the guidance of Taylor Stang at the Spine Institute, along with PT and back pain procedures, I am seeing real progress. From the start, Taylor fully explained my MRI results and answered my long list of questions. She was honest but reassuring throughout the process. I have no option but to leave one star… During one of my surgeries after my car wreck in 2023 when I was 20 years old I had Dr. Staarmann as my surgeon. She did a lumbar fusion from L5-L1 during the healing process and after I healed mostly, I had tremendous pain. It has done nothing but got worse. Dr. Pekas is wonderful. He has been such a great help getting to the bottom of my issues. He listens and he cares.
Absolute medical abandonment. My provider, Gina M. Orlando, ignored my urgent messages for over 120 days (Oct to Feb) while I suffered from Trigeminal Neuralgia. When she finally resurfaced, she completely dismissed my family history of contrast-induced seizures and refused to even discuss safer, non-contrast MRI protocols (3D FIESTA). This office prioritizes generic scripts over patient safety and basic communication. Dangerous neglect. Stay away.
I have been a patient of Dr. Nagasawa's since 2016. In the past 2ish years, lete 2024-2026, I have had almost no communication with him. Seen him one time. I send MyChart messages that I get replies to, stating, "we've forwarded your message to your provider, please allow 24-48 hours for a reply." I never get a reply. Ever. Literally never. Not even once.
