The new grading system is awful. I used to love going here and now it is not as fun. It makes it harder to warm up and to ever move up a tag because of the huge ranges between grades. This is also going to cause injuries to new climbers because they will not adequately be able to judge their own abilities. The gap between a v3 and a v5 is huge. They should not be grouped together. I really hope they change it back. I have not met a single person who likes the new system.

This gym has a good environment and good people. Unfortunately, they changed their grading system to a far inferior system. It has made climbing here much less enjoyable. I hope they listen to their community and change it back.

I am 46 years old and not in the best of shape. I was so scared to try climbing those big walls and scared I would get super sore from it. It was sooooo fun and I wasn't sore the next day. My only draw back was I didn't practice getting down before I went up. So if it's your first time practice getting down before you get very high.
