I received a kidney and pancreas transplant after 38 years of type 1 diabetes. I was on dialysis for about 4 and a half and years of dialysis near death but I received the transplants in 2008 and am still getting around and thankful for the care from many wonderful people at the Cleveland Clinic and a person who gave me many years I would not have had if they had not been a Donor.
