There is a shortage of endocrinologists in the United States, to begin with. Most definitely, there is a shortage of endocrinologist who treat thyroid disease at the Cleveland clinic. I recently had an appointment with an endocrinologist at the Strongsville Cleveland clinic. First visit, she did not want labs until she saw me. Scheduled at 1030. Still waiting at 1. Told us he was scheduled for noon. Dont know where they can get us in for a 40 min procedure. No communication prior.

Everything after post op care was horrible. Make sure if you have a thyroid disorder you know the treatment options available to you. There are synthetic medications and natural medicines. The natural medication comes from pig. One of the doctors at this facility told me she doesn’t believe in natural medicine only synthetic. Some patients don’t respond well to synthetic hormones and one might need to be placed on natural hormonal replacement therapy eventually later on down the road. After 5 years of seeing several specialists in another state my wife was referred to Dr. K Zhou at the Cleveland Clinic. She listened to and reviewed all of my wife's records. She gave us a positive pathway to a possible resolution to her problem. Her communication and dialect with us was extreamly good. Dr. Zhou is working with several specialists at this Clinic giving us the hope of a positive resolution. I wish we would have come here several years ago. Thank you Dr. Zhou.
