I have loved this very special place, since it was my first job, way back in 1974. Have not lived in California since 79, but eat there everytime I am in So. Cal. Hired by Art Munoz, and played golf with Wally and Bob Flanders. Loved working with Dick Morales, Tim, Nijad, Maggie, Sharon, Robin, Jeff, Geoff, Roberto (917), Frank.....so many wonderful guys and gals, and have a photo album with pictures of all. Old-school ambiance and decor and food to match, but with many modern twists. The house salad is lovely, and anyone who has never had it is in for a pleasant surprise. The steaks are excellent, the drinks well made, and overall a great dining experience that is about more than kitsch, although there is plenty of that.
Love it!!!! Bread, salad, steak, and rice for lunch!!
