Our nighttime LED kayak tour was the BEST and our tour guide, Giovanni, was also the BEST! He taught us a lot about Lake Tahoe, gave us great recommendations for places to eat, and had some of the best dad jokes I’ve heard in a long time. On the way to the tour we saw a brown bear and while on the water, we saw several beavers, muskrats, ducks, and other birds, and a bullfrog (Jeremiah was his name I believe). Seriously, rarely does something I find online exceed - or as in this case, greatly exceed my expectations, which are, admittedly, high to begin with. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we paddled out behind owner Jason who was an insanely excellent guide- altho I'm sure all the guides are terrific in their own ways. We chose the sunset tour in the glow kayaks on our final day in Tahoe and what a great decision that was! Excellent guide (Jason) made the adventure truly memorable. The family photos we got from the guide were an unexpected cherry on top. I can tell you as a mom, we rarely make it into the photos :) Choose this outfit— you won’t be disappointed.
LED tours are all about the experience. And what an amazing experience it is. I’m pretty sure there is nothing else like this at Lake Tahoe or anywhere else for that matter. The Glow tour starts out around sunset with glassy calm water and beautiful sky. It’s mostly dark by the end so you really get the glow effect. Saw an Osprey hunting for fish.
