My roommate and I had a great experience renting from Clear Water! The space we rented was clean and in good condition. They were easy to communicate with and always responded to maintenance requests as soon as possible. They were fair with our security deposit and we felt like we were in good hands during our time with them. Definitely recommend if you are looking to rent near UWEC!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT rent from Clearwater Real Estate. Our experience was a complete nightmare from start to finish. This company is the definition of unprofessional and dishonest. • They charged us DOUBLE and then some of our security deposit — including for things that were already documented in our pre-move-in inspection. • Claimed items were “missing” even though I listed them before we moved in. • They texted us about a fire safety check, came in and took out our smoke detectors, then tried to charge... read more

My experience renting through this company was not as terrible as some, but it definitely wasn't good. I rented through this company for two years, and the first year we had limited issues. Our second year however, was a different story. We had multiple issues with mice, bats, AND ants. The mice were taken care of relatively easily (thanks to our cat, NOT maintenance). Update 10/21/25: Almost 4 years with Clear Water and still so impressed. I called about our worn carpet a few weeks ago, and maintenance was here within two hours to check it out. Within two weeks, we had brand-new flooring installed. The crew was great—hard-working, respectful, and did a beautiful job! I honestly cannot say one bad thing about this rental company. Thank you for your patience and help in getting my daughter out of a heartbreaking situation. I am so grateful. This office is very friendly, understanding, and sympathetic. Would recommend working with them for your college kids.
