Was an easy in and out smog check with friendly and informative staff who were able to answer my follow up questions. I’ve been to a few smog check places in the city and I’d 100% come back here next time

We took our 2014 model car here on a Saturday. While the streets of San Francisco were crowded like a typical weekend, this place wasn't packed thankfully. My partner called before we came here to confirm pricing. We arrived with no appointment booked and was able to get our car quickly smog tested after the vehicle in line before us was complete. We received quick service and fortunately passed our smog. Also, we had some good conversation with Enrique, who was working at the front desk on this day. He was friendly.
Judging from recent comments about Clean Air Smog pricing, the rent and living wage in SF is probably causing their rates to be high. A prudent vehicle owner has to shop around for the lowest smog check price but the vehicle has to be in good mechanical and operational condition in order to pass smog testing. Otherwise, register your vehicle in a county not requiring periodic smog certification.
Really bad experience here. Waited patiently for an hour, and then I asked the guy roughly how long until my test was done (and this was just 15 mins before the shop closed, with a few cars behind me). He aborted my smog test and yelled to "come back another time when I have more time" Agree completely with another one of the reviews below, which I wish I'd read before coming: "Overall, don't recommend this place.
