We had them out to mitigate our radon a year ago as a second option to redo an old ineffective system. Our initial quote was for installing an entirely new suction point with a second fan, but the crew we got thought that was too complicated so they just did an improvized solution by drilling a hole in my existing pipe and making a t-joint using silicone caulk (see photo) and just forgetting about the extra fan.
